OUR STORY

I, Tim Dunmall, am a 5th generation blacksmith working out of Yalding Forge, owned by my family since 1950.

Learning the basics of blacksmithing from my grandad, dad and uncles I started working full time at the forge in 2011. Still using many of the tools that were handcrafted by my grandad I create unique and bespoke items using both traditional and modern techniques.

I have a particular passion in restoration work, and enjoy bringing once loved items of metalwork back to their former glory, no matter how big or small the job.

Each piece, from gates and handrails to bottle openers and pokers is handmade to order by myself at Yalding Forge. All enquiries for bespoke orders are welcome. Call, email or come and visit us to chat over design ideas if you are after something special. As a small independent business I offer a personal service and believe your order should be tailored to suit you.

As well as making items to order I also stock a selection of hand forged items in the showroom such as bottle openers, fire baskets, pokers, coat racks and candle sticks, ideal gifts to take away.  Occasionally I may be out at a fitting, so if you are in Yalding specially to visit then please call ahead the day before to confirm I am open.
